Highland Warrior is the creation of Justin Davis, a Scottish historian, tour guide, and public speaker with a passion for bringing the past to life through immersive experiences. Born and raised in Prestonpans, Justin developed an early obsession with the Jacobite rebellions, Scottish culture, and, of course, kilts. While other kids were out playing football, he was busy reading history books and exploring castle ruins.
With an arts degree that sharpened his skills in storytelling and audience engagement, Justin first made a name for himself in entertainment. His early career saw him founding and running Scotland’s largest nightlife tour company—an experience that honed his ability to captivate a crowd. But history was always Justin’s driving force, and over the years, he has crafted many tours of Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland, blending meticulous research, Scottish humour, and a touch of theatrics. His modern approach to historical storytelling is also evident on social media, where his TikTok videos have garnered over 3 million views, proving that the past can be both educational and entertaining.
Beyond guiding, Justin has worked as a historical consultant, a speaker at cultural events, and for the last two years has been Master of Ceremonies for the British Ambassador’s Burns Night in Estonia. His expertise lies in the Jacobite era, but his interests extend across Scottish history—from medieval warfare to folklore and contemporary culture. His extensive research on the Jacobites has already filled hundreds of pages that have laid the foundation for a book, assuming he ever finishes it.
When he’s not leading tours or giving talks, Justin is also a gifted singer, loves to travel, and is currently (with varying success) learning Gaelic. Through Highland Warrior, he offers bespoke historical tours, public speaking, and storytelling experiences designed to make Scotland’s past as engaging, accessible, and unforgettable as it deserves to be.
